Food, Drink, and Awards: This was the scene at the 2009 JTCRunning Awards Banquet held Sunday, June 28th. Twenty six awards were presented in record time and in a new venue, the Mediterannia Restaurant on Baymeadows by San Jose Boulevard. Eighty-plus people attended spread over two rooms. Jacksonville's Grand Prix Road Race awards were also presented. All seemed to enjoy - and the food was great.

JTCRunning is Sponsoring Meal at Sulzbacher
Grab your…APRON?! It’s JTC Running night at the Sulzbacher Center. We are seeking ~20 volunteers to cook and serve dinner for the homeless on Friday, August 14. Absolutely no experience needed! Just bring your positive energy and willing hands, as well as any gently used running shoes or new socks you would like to donate to Sulzbacher residents. Cooking shift is from 3:00pm-5:30pm; serving shift is from 5:30pm-7:00pm (you can select one or both shifts). Please contact Margaret Barton to volunteer: 398-9119 or mgbarton@bellsouth.net
Board Votes for Contributions
During April's meeting, JTCRunning's Board of Directors voted for a $1,500 contribution to the First Coast Kid's Triathlon on May 2 and 3 at UNF; at the same meeting, $2,500 was approved for the Girls on the Run 5K of Northeast Florida on May 9th.
