JTCRunning - Accomplishments 2009
With the guidance of your Board members and all the volunteers who helped make many events happen, a lot went on in 2009!!!Associated Running Events:

- Guana River 50K Trail Run
- RITA - Cash in the Spring
- Three All-Comer Track Meets
- Mile Festival
- Summer Track Classic
- Summer Beach Run
- Three 'low key' Cross Country races
- Last Gasp (Cross Country 5K run)
Sponsored / Hosted:
- 5K Training Class
- 15K/5K Training Class
- 1/2 Marathon Training Class
- JTCRunning Night at Sulzbacher funded and served an evening meal at the Sulzbacher Center
- Winter Social in conjunction with Festival of Lights Run
- Baseball Game and Social
- Provided grants for 12 high school distance runners to attend summer running camps
- Awards Banquet
- Provided funding for First Coast Kid's Triathlon
- Provided funding for Girls on the Run 5K
- Provided funding for the FROG 5K at Eaglewood High School
- Provided funding to continue the John TenBroeck Cup in the Gate River Run
- Donated all the proceeds from RITA Run to the RITA Foundation
- Donated $31,500 in proceeds from the Gate River Run to various charities
- Donated money to GTM Research Reserve (a.k.a. Guana Park) as show of appreciation for their support of the 50K Trail Run
- Sponsored JTCRunning Cross Country Club Team to the US National Team Cross Country Championships
- Hosted five Classes and Clinics at 1st Place Sports
- ‘the Bridge’ that almost didn't go anywhere in the Skinner Park Running Trail, finally completed
- Plans put in place to provide funding for a female companion statue to accompany the male Runner along the Riverwalk.
Logistical / Outreach:
- Promoted JTCRunning with a booth at the 26.2 with Donna Marathon Expo
- Published a new brochure promoting JTCRunning and what we are about for prospective members
- Negotiated a contract with The Bolles School to allow our Wednesday Morning and Evening Interval sessions for club members to continue
- Executed a full-blown, chad-free election to elect the 2010 JTCRunning Board of Directors - first time in many years

- Provided grants for six high school distance runners to attend the Brevard Distance Running Camp in Brevard, N.C.; two from Ed White High School, two from Stanton College Preparatory School, one from Bartram Trail High School, one from Bishop Snyder High School

- Provided funding for two local aspiring elite level local runners
- Provided funding to launch the John TenBroeck Cup in the Gate River Run
- Hosted a number Classes and Clinics at 1st Place Sports
- Major headway with the City of Jacksonville for ‘the Bridge’ in the Skinner Park Running Trail
