The 2011 JTCRunning Awards Banquet tried a new venue this year - it featured a fancier ambiance and traded buffets for family style servings. Maggiano's Little Italy in the St. Johns Town Center was the setting; it was held Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Seventeen awards were presented by various folk, and "Not Going Over-Time on My Watch" Doug Tillett was emcee. The show was a wrap by 8:59 - the food portion took a bit longer because of the three courses, but it was worth the extra time. From all the chatter and milling about that went on until well after 9 P.M., it seems everyone enjoyed the evening. Jacksonville's Grand Prix Road Race awards were also presented.
