If you are on this site, chances are you already know how you would train for a 5k, but perhaps someone in your family would like to ease into the running lifestyle, and the thought of inter-family coaching (especially spousal) is very unsettling. Well here's an option - take the JTCRunning 5k Training Class! You get a coach that will teach, encourage, and train that family member and you maintain a harmonious relationship with that individual. Win-Win !!!!
The class will be oriented towards beginning runners or walkers and will encompass group training runs and verbal presentations over an eight week period. It will start with a combination of running and walking over a short distance, and will work up through the actual completion of the Festival of Lights 5K on December 7, 2008. This program will be a great lead-in to our Gate River Run Training Program starting in January.
JTC Running is committed to promoting health & physical fitness through running. One of the ways it hopes to achieve this goal is by presenting training classes for various distances throughout the year. JTC Running will draw from the local running communities most qualified and enthusiastic coaches for this program.
You must sign up for this class!! - there is a fee but that fee covers JTCRunning membership if not already (discount for members), Training class Technical shirts (autographed by John Metzger, if desired), registration for the Festival of Lights 5k on December 7, 2008.
