Dr Christopher Land will speak on treatment for various running related injuries using Active Release Techniques, Graston Techniques and Kinesio Taping.
Dr. Christopher Land completed his undergraduate degree at Florida State University. While at FSU, he searched for a profession that would allow him to help people live active healthy lives and discovered chiropractic. He went on to attend and graduate from Palmer Chiropractic College of Florida. At PCCF he learned the latest in chiropractic treatments, obtained in-depth nutritional training, and furthered his education in soft tissue injuries common to athletes.
Dr. Land is full body certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and certified in Graston Technique, two of the leading soft-tissue treatments. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has additional training in extremity adjusting.

Dr. Kevin Kaplan will speak on cartilage injuries in the hip -Interarticular hip pain in the runner.
Dr. Kaplan graduated from Tulane University (New Orleans, LA) with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in cell and molecular biology and was distinguished as Summa Cum Laude with Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, and a member of numerous National Honor Societies. He attended New York University School of Medicine (New York, NY) where he graduated as a Doctor of Medicine and was distinguished in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
Dr. Kaplan completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases (New York, NY) where he was chosen as an Executive Chief Resident, contributed over twenty orthopaedic publications, earned research awards, and received specialized training in orthopaedic trauma surgery at Seattle's Harborview Hospital. He completed a fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic (Los Angeles, CA). During his fellowship, he assisted the head team physician in the orthopaedic care of the 2009 World Champion Los Angeles Lakers. In addition, he served as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Sparks, Anaheim Ducks, Univeristy of Southern California and Loyola Marymount University. Working among innovators in the field of sports medicine, Dr. Kaplan has been trained in cutting-edge arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee, as well as in joint preserving and reconstructive procedures in the shoulder and elbow. He specializes in the non-operative and operative management of injuries in youth and adult patients of all skill levels from recreational to professional athletes. He emphasizes not only surgical treatment, but also the importance of injury prevention and rehabilitation.
